In
2006 Andrew set up a potter's studio in Yarnton after
the closure of the Aldermaston Pottery where he had
worked, with Alan Caiger-Smith, since 1984.
Andrew
makes domestic ware - thrown on a wheel and brush
painted with natural oxides. The designs are inspired
by his time at Aldermaston and his special interest
in medieval imagery.
He
follows the 'Tin-glaze Earthenware' tradition which
can be traced back to the 9th century.
